Feature-rich camera phone Vivo V11 Pro with in-screen fingerprint scanner released in India: Quick facts

Vivo's recently-unveiled smartphone V11 Pro is finally up for grabs in India from 12 September onward.

The company is offering Vivo V11 Pro in Dazzling Gold and Starry Night Black colour variants for Rs 25,999. It is available across major e-commerce sites including Vivo e-Store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, and Snapdeal and also on authorised brick-and-mortar stores across the country. Some e-stores are also offering exchange deals and cash discounts via partner bank cards. 

I have been using the Vivo V11 Pro for more than two weeks and have to say is one of the best looking phones in the markets. It flaunts a refreshingly new water drop notch design with just a front-camera at the top and every other side's bezel has been trimmed to make more space for the display. It comes with the screen-to-body ratio of 91.27%.

An interesting aspect of the Vivo V11 Pro is that it is the most affordable phone to boast the in-screen fingerprint sensor. Yes, it works fast and has less False Rejection Rate (FRR). It also boasts an IR sensor paired with front-snapper so that it can recognise device owner even in the night to unlock the screen.

On the back, it sports polycarbonate-based shell with a glossy glass on the back exuding premium feel. It features a dual-camera on the back.

Besides the advanced biometric technology, it comes packed with feature-rich photography hardware. It boasts 12MP (F1.8) + 5MP (F2.4) sensors on the back and equally impressive 25MP (F2.0 aperture). Both are powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based software and the resulting images are of top-notch quality be it natural sunlight, night or indoors with control conditions, the picture quality is praiseworthy.

Other stipulated features include 6.41-inch super AMOLED full HD+ screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core CPU, Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage (expandable) and a 3,400mAh battery, which is more than enough to run the phone for a whole day under mixed usage. It also comes with Dual-Engine Fast Charging technology and takes less than one and a half hour to fully charge from zero to 100 per cent.

The new Vivo V11 Pro will be up against the popular Poco F1, Oppo F9 Pro and recently unveiled Moto G6 Plus, among others.
