OnePlus 6, earlier in the year made a spectacular debut in India minting more Rs 100 crore in sales in just 10 minutes of its debut on Amazon. Now, the latest debutant Poco F1 from the house of Xiaomi has beaten it by recording double the business and that too in half its time on Flipkart.
Xiaomi on social media platform has confirmed to have sold Rs 200 crore worth of units sale in less than five minutes on August 29. We are not surprised with mind-boggling sales numbers of the Poco F1, as the device is most the cost-effective flagship phone in the Indian market.
Poco F1 is a real performer and does justice to whatever features printed on the spec sheet. I have been using the Poco F1 Armoured Edition for close to a week and am impressed in all aspects, be it the build quality, camera, battery life and thanks to liquid cool technology integrated with Snapdragon 845 processor. It does its job, be it gaming, multi-tasking, watching videos and many other daily tasks. The device also doesn't heat up despite the load.
If you couldn't get Poco F1 on Wednesday, you can try your luck next week on 5 September 12:00 pm on Flipkart and Mi.com. I believe the company will have sufficient stocks, as reports on social media platforms, the device was available in Flipkart stocks for close to five minutes and if do the maths Rs 200 crore roughly translates to 65,000 to 100,000 units of varying storages were up for grabs on Wednesday.
For those unaware, Poco F1 retails at Rs 20,999, Rs 23,999, and Rs 28,999 for the 6GB RAM+64GB storage, 6GB RAM+128GB storage, and 8GB RAM+256GB storage respectively. They will be available in Polycarbonate backs in Graphite Black, Steel Blue, and Rosso Red.
And the Armoured Edition, which comes in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, costs Rs 29,999.
The new Poco F1 flaunts a sturdy polycarbonate shell on the back with a dual camera and a fingerprint sensor below it. On the front, it flaunts a 6.18-inch full HD+ display with iPhone X-like notch on the top housing an advanced 20MP camera with IR sensor for face unlock capability. Under-the-hood, it runs on Android Oreo with Snapdragon 845 octa-core, Qualcomm's most powerful and fastest processor to date and it is backed by the Liquid Cool technology and the newly introduced DSP architecture with AI performance that's three times higher than the previous generation. Supported by up to 8GB LPDDR4x DRAM, Poco F1 can render the most demanding games at high FPS for an unparalleled gaming experience, the company claims.
As far as the camera is concerned, it comes with feature-rich 12MP (Sony IMX363, F1.9, 1.4μm) + 5MP AI dual camera, Dual Pixel Autofocus, HDR, Multi-frame Noise Reduction, more than 200 AI scene detection, AI Beautify, AI portrait mode.

Poco F1 comes with big 4,000mAh battery, which is enough to last a whole day if not more under mixed usage. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Besides the standard models, the special Poco F1 Armoured Edition comes with a back panel made of DuPont Kevlar. The super-tough, heat-resistant material is widely used in the aviation industry, the military, and high-end cycling. Its textured surface gives POCO F1 a unique appearance and provides a comfortable grip.
