ZTE to Release Nubia Z9 Mini in India Soon: Report

Chinese consumer electronics giant ZTE has officially launched its subsidiary smartphone firm, Nubia, in India. 

The company has opened Nubia's official India page. To build fan base in the subcontinent, they have created the region-specific social network accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

In Nubia's India page, the company has posted a promo image that shows a black-box; and the caption reads: "NOW, THERE IS NO LIMIT TO WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE. COMING SOON." This hints a new device will be launched in India soon.

If sources of AndroidOS.in are to be believed, ZTE is expected to release flagship compact smartphone Nubia Z9 Mini in the subcontinent.

Nubia Z9 Mini was originally unveiled along with Z9 Max in China in March. It features metallic- frame on the edges, but has sturdy plastic case on the back side.

It sports 5.0-inch full HD display and runs on the Snapdragon 615 Octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB in-built memory, and a 2900 mAh battery.

Nubia Z9 Mini also houses a feature-rich 16mp camera on the rear-side with LED flash, Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture and an 8mp front camera with f/2.4 aperture, and 80-degree wide-angle picture capture feature.

Rumour has it that the company will keep the Nubia Z9 Mini's price at around ₹16,000. If this is true, then ZTE phone will certainly be able to give stiff challenge to popular brands like Xiaomi Mi4i, Asus Zenfone 2, and other MNC brands.
