After weeks of speculations, telecommunication equipment maker ZTE has finally pulled the wraps of the flagship smartphone Nubia Z9 in China.

The new Nubia Z9 will come in two variants, one Classic and another top-end model tentatively dubbed as Elite. Most of the internal hardware specifications are same in the two devices sans a couple of features. The former ships with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory, whereas the latter comes with a massive 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Other stipulated features include 5.2-inch 2.5D curved full HD enabling near-zero bezel on the sides. Under the hood, it houses 64-bit class Snapdragon 810 series Octa-core CPU, 2,900mAh battery, 16mp Sony Exmor RS camera sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and 8mp Sony Exmor R sensor-based snapper on the front.

Other noteworthy feature of Nubia Z9 include ZTE's proprietary Frame Interaction Technology (FiT), wherein users can swipe the edges of the frame to launch apps, access settings and also set their own custom gesture-based shortcuts.

Beside the Classic and Elite models, the company also announced a limited edition Nubia Z9 Exclusive with  TIO fingerprint sensor on the  power button as well as the volume rocker. Other specificatiions of the device is same as Nubia Z9 Elite model.

ZTE Nubia Z9 price details:

The company has confirmed that the ZTE Nubia Z9 - Classic and Elite- models will go on sale initially in China on 21 May for ¥3,499 (around $564/€497/₹36,040) and ¥ 3,999 (around $644/€568/₹41,188) respectively.

On the other hand, the limited edition Nubia Z9 Exclusive with finger-print sensor will set you back for ¥4,499 (around $725/€637/₹46,336).

As of now, there is no word on when the new ZTE phones will be made available other market. We will update you on this as it develops.
