Director Basil Joseph's latest Malayalam movie Godha narrating the dreams of an aspiring wrestler has been garnering stupendous response from the audience. It is evident from the worldwide box office collection of the Tovino Thomas, Wamiqa Gabbi and Renji Panicker-starrer.

The team of Godha has revealed that the family emotional thriller has earned a gross collection of Rs. 16 crore worldwide within 11 days of its theatrical run. Though it hasn't beaten the collection records of any recent big budget entertainers, the collection figure of Godha looks decent, considering the female-centric subject it has. The movie also stars Aju Varghese, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Hareesh Perumanna, Parvathy T, Mammukoya and Hareesh Peradi in significant roles.
At the Kerala box office alone, Godha has made a business of over Rs. 8.5 crore in 11 days. It collected Rs. 11.92 lakhs with an average theatre occupancy of 80.62% on the 10th day at the six multiplexes in Kochi, and the total 10-day earning of Wamiqa-starrer amounts at Rs. 47.56 lakh.

Godha has also been performing tremendously at the theatres in UAE and GCC since May 25 with it earning a humongous collection of Rs. 6.41 crore on its first weekend at the overseas market. The area wise collection report of Godha in UAR-GCc is below:

Meanwhile, the second directorial venture of Basil after the comedy entertainer Kunjiramayanam has been scheduled to hit the screens in Australia, New Zealand & Africa on June 2.
