The new entity headed by Mahindra Group christened Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. recently brought back the iconic motorcycle brand Jawa to India. The response for the re-introduction has been overwhelming with online bookings in full steam.
For now, Classic Legends accepts bookings for the Jawa Motorcycles models via online. That is because the dealerships are yet to open floor. Classic Legends claims around they have spoken with 105 dealerships and 64 among them will be operational soon.
The first dealership of Jawa Motorcycles is expected to open on December 5 and a report in Autocar explains where the dealerships will come up in different cities.
As per the report, Mumbai and Delhi will get four dealerships each. The Mumbai dealerships will come up at Andheri (West), Chembur, Thane (near Viviana mall) and Vashi while dealership in Delhi will be located at Krishna Nagar, Gujranwala Town, Saket and Tilak Nagar.
Hyderabad will also have four dealerships at Ranigunj, Banjara Hills road number 12, Gachibowli Hitech road and Kukatpally.
Jawa Motorcycles will set up three dealerships at Pune, one of the biker's hubs in India. The zeroed down locations are Baner, Koregaon Park and Chinchwad station. Another biker's city, Bengaluru will boast of five dealerships while details about the specific locations are not available now. Among other major cities, Chennai will get four and Kolkata will get one dealership soon.

Resurrected Jawa Motorcycles offers two classic styled bikes named Jawa and Forty Two along with a bobber model christened, the Perak. Classic Legends has also priced all three bikes very competitively against the main rival Royal Enfield. The Forty Two cost just Rs 1.55 lakh, Jawa at Rs 1.64 lakh and the Perak comes with a price tag of Rs 1.89 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
When will the deliveries start?
Classic Legends during the launch has confirmed that deliveries of the new Jawa bikes will start in early 2019. Since Perak is not offered immediately, delivery of Perak will start later next year. If you are ready to wait for over a month, its time to book your Jawa bike.
