Sivakarthikeyan says that he was so impressed listening to Thaai Kizhivi that he decided to play the hero in Sivakumar Murugesan's next movie, Seyon. He decided to sign both the movies on the first day itself.
Thaai Kizhavi is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on February 27, 2026. Sivakarthikeyan has produced the movie under his banner. As a part of its promotion, he recently held a grand pre-release event for the movie.
Addressing the event, Sivakarthikeyan said, "Everyone thought I have signed director Sivakumar Murugesan for Seyon after watching Thaai Kizhivi, but it's not what happened. While signing him for Thaai Kizhavi itself, we have put an agreement to do 2 films with Director Sivakumar. One is under my production and one is under my acting, as I love rural subjects."
Sivakarthikeyan added, "I decided to sign both the films Seyon and Thaai Kizhivi on the first day itself. When I listened to Thaai Kizhivi itself, I decided that I would play hero in his next movie as well. I did it because I like this kind of rural script. That is because it is going to my native place."
Sivakarthikeyan also spoke about Cibi, who was present there on the occasion and said, "You're now a Thalaivar movie director, thanks for giving time to grace the event. We were only supposed to do SK 24, in passion studios production. But you have escaped and joined Thalaivar 173. But anyways we have an agreement, you have to do a film with me."
Meanwhile, the actor-turned-producer said that he does not do movies to compete with anyone. He said, "I'm not here to compete. I'm not here to trash or attack anyone. I want to do something meaningful for the industry. Please allow me to do it. People have always supported me, but a few people in the industry haven't."
