People are known to do hilarious and sometimes brash acts when drunk. However, this youth started eating a live chicken in an inebriated condition.
The extremely disturbing incident took place in Telangana's Mahabubabad district. The youth, who was drunk, was caught in the act by a passer-by who recorded the incident and then circulated it on the internet.
The incident took place on July 31 and the video has gone viral on several social media platforms.
Here's what happened
The youth was accompanied by another man, who was also in an inebriated state. They bought a live chicken and were walking back home to prepare chicken curry when they passed out midway, reported India Today.
After a while, one of the youth woke up as he was feeling hungry. He grabbed the live chicken, started plucking its feathers and started consuming it alive.
In the viral video, the drunk youth who is dressed in a striped t-shirt is seen sitting on the side of the road and biting into the chicken. His companion is still fast asleep on the grass, which is strewn with the feather of the chicken.
Ever since the police learnt about the incident, they have been on the lookout for the youth. Teams have also been deployed to nab the youth, who has been booked under charges of 'animal cruelty' and 'indecent behaviour in public'.
