Lothaire Bluteau as Emperor Charles of France and Travis Fimmel as King Ragnar Lothbrok in 'Vikings'History Channel/Vikings

Apart from offering his daughter Princess Gisla of West Francia (Morgane Polanski) to Rollo (Clive Standen), now the Emperor Charles of France (Lothaire Bluteau) may execute new plans to save Paris from King Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) attack in "Vikings" season 4. But he may not succeed in any of his plans.

Historically, Bjorn Ironside's father is known as the scourge of France and England. It also states that he was conquered by his enemies while attacking Northumbria.

Meanwhile, the series creator Michael Hirst revealed that the viewers should never underestimate the power of Fimmel's character. "Even though we end season three with Ragnar hovering between life and death, one should never underestimate Ragnar Lothbrok," he said.

Hirst even stated that the leader of Vikings will be back in England in search of a farming land for his people. "And that dream was snuffed out. So what happens in Wessex still matters, and will continue to matter," he added.

So it can be assumed that King Ragnar will defeat Emperor Charles and conquer Paris with the help of his son Ironside and the rest of the team during their next raid in the upcoming season of "Vikings".

However, the leader will have three new characters to compete with that includes Halfdan the Black (Jasper Paakkonen) of Scandinavia, Chinese traveller named Yidu (Dianne Doan) and King Harald Finehair (Peter Franzen).
