Actress Varalaxmi has come down heavily on Vishal Krishna, actor and secretary of Nadigar Sangam, over his latest Nadigar Sangam election campaign video. The actress has released a letter on Twitter in which she has criticised him in strong words ahead of Nadigar Sangam elections.
In the letter, Varalaxmi has expressed her shock over the video and slammed him for trying to project her father's mistakes rather than highlighting his own achievements. The complete text has can be read below:
Dear Vishal
I'm saddened and shocked at how low you have stooped down in you recent election campaign video.. any respect I have left for you is now gone.. it's so sad to see you harp on my father's past especially when you have NOT been able to prove squat.. since you keep saying the law is the highest.. according to that same law any person is innocent until proven guilty.. if he was guilty he would have been sentenced by now .. So have some class and grow up.. when you make such cheap videos it shows your class can't blame you, I guess cos that's the way u have been brought up.. let's not behave like you are saint.. I think we all know your double standards and your lies. If you were such a saint I don't think people from your own so called IfpandavArani would have left and created a group just to bring you down. If you are so proud of what you have done why don't you showcase that instead of bringing down my dad when he's not even involved this time. so many people can't be wrong about you .. all this time I respected you and I have been there for you as friend always. Now you have taken it too far..it's so sad instead of making a positive video about the things you have achieved you resorted to the lowest form of campaigning. Well I guess you are a true actor at least off screen after all..!! Like you say I really hope the truth prevails..Well you just lost my vote.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar
The actress is apparently upset with Vishal's campaign video of Nadigar Sangam where he has criticised her father Sarath Kumar and her uncle Radha Ravi. The video can be watched below
Interestingly, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who is a childhood friend of Vishal and rumoured girlfriend of him at some point of time, had stood like a pillar of strength for him in the previous Nadigar Sangam elections.
Indeed, she had backed him over her father's candidature in the previous Nadigar Sangam elections. However, Varalaxmi and Vishal's relationship was rumoured to have strained some time ago and her outburst does not help him in the forthcoming elections scheduled to be held on 23 June.
Pandavar Ani – Nassar, Vishal, Karthi, Karunas and Poochi Murugan – will take on the opposing party, Sankaradas, comprising of K Bhagyaraj, Prashanth, Ishari Ganesh, Udhaya and Kutti Padmini.
The opposition party is fighting the election in the name of Sankaradas, spearheaded by K Bhagyaraj, Prashanth, Ishari Ganesh, Udhaya and Kutti Padmini for various posts.
The election for various posts will be held in MGR Janaki college in Chennai.
