TVS Motor Company had sent out invitations to media houses about their new product launch on August 23 in Chennai. While the company is tight-lipped about the new vehicle, reports now claim that it could be the new 110cc commuter bike.

TVS Motor Company already sells the Victor and Star City Plus in the 110cc segment while the new motorcycle is targeted to bolster the company's presence in the volume selling segment. A report in NDTV Auto claims that TVS may name the motorcycle as the Radeon. The company has revealed a 125cc motorcycle with the same name way back in the 2012 Auto Expo. The new bike will be borrowing only the name while engine and cycle parts will be shared with the Victor.

TVS Radeon will be based on a single cradle tubular frame chassis with telescopic suspension at the front and 5-step adjustable springs at the rear. The company will also most probably offer front disc brake as an option.

TVS Radeon will be powered by the same 109.7cc Ecothrust oil-cooled engine tuned to deliver 9.6bhp of power at 7500rpm with a torque of 9.4Nm at 6000rpm in the Victor. The mill will come mated to a four-speed unit and fuel efficiency is expected north to 72kmpl.

Compared to the other two 100cc bikes that TVS is selling, the Radeon is expected to be slightly premium in terms of features. All-digital instrument panel with features like a dedicated app and satellite navigation connectivity in line with the TVS NTorq is expected with the new bike. New design approach quite unlike the TVS Star City Plus or the TVS Victor is also expected with the TVS Radeon.

While 110cc is the most probable launch on August 23, there was speculation that it could also be a new 125cc commuter bike. The rumours have been surfacing primarily because TVS has now no presence in the 125cc commuter bike segment after the discontinuation of the Pheonix 125.
