BJP attempting 'show of strength' in PM Modi's rally, alleges AAP

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Somnath Bharti on Saturday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is bringing a lot of people from the neighbouring states to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally which is to be held in the national capital today. He said that BJP is attempting a 'show of strength' by means of this rally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kickstart BJP's campaign for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls at an "Abhinandan" rally at the Ramlila Ground today.

Newly'wed Imran and Reham Khan share food with madrasa students

Islamabad, Jan 10 (ANI): After a low'key marriage ceremony, Pakistan’s cricketer'turned'politician Imran Khan and his better half ex'BBC journalist Reham Khan shared lunch with madrasa students on the outskirts of Pakistani capital Islamabad. Khan on Friday drove to distribute and share food with the children of the madarsa of Mufti Saeed, the Muslim cleric who performed his wedding ceremony. Khan’s party officials say that due to the recent Peshawar tragedy, Imran had decided against having a grand Valima ceremony and chose to distribute food to less privileged children. After the meal, Khan mentioned that the wedding was planned for later, but as the rumors swirled, he decided to get married earlier.

Reactions flow in as Manjhi describes Nitish as 'Chanakya' of Bihar politics

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Political reactions flowed in on Saturday over Chief Justice of India HL Dattu's statement in which he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "good leader" with a foresight and desire to give good governance to the nation. The CJI also said the demands of the judiciary have been taken care of by the government and it is always good that all three wings of democracy work according to the set standards. He said that the judiciary gets positive response from the government and it is "very good".

Politicos condemn as more than 40 sterilization surgeries done under torchlight in Jharkhand

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Political leaders reacted on Saturday after more than 40 sterilization surgeries were conducted under torchlight in Jharkhand's Chatra district. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that health is a major issue in the country which needs to be solved at the earliest. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that Health Ministry should take quick steps to curb such problems of sterilization. Senior Lawyer Abha Singh said that doctors and NGO groups make money by conducting maximum surgeries but they do not cater to health issues.

The researchers said that the brain scans have previously shown that similar nervous systems link sweet taste and feelings of love and the recent study reveals that sweet taste and feelings of love share a similar part of the brain. The study suggests that sweet food taste increases dopamine levels, a key biological substrate of passionate love, and although dopamine is involved in many experiences, it may be part of the link between taste and romantic interest. Research has also shown that just thinking about romantic love makes people think food is sweeter.

Politicos react while AAP- Congress allege BJP bringing outsiders for Modi's mega rally

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday react while Aam Aadmi Party and Congress alleged that BJP is bringing people from outside Delhi for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Abhinandan Rally". Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay said that there AAP's allegations are irrelevant and that they should themselves come to witness th crowd at the rally. BJP's GVL Narasimha Rao said that the prime minister is possibly the only leader in Indian history to have pulled crowds of a lakh and even more people. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi supported the allegations. NCP leader Majid Memon said that the prime minister should not use public money in rallies for any political party. AAP's Manish Sisodia said that people of Delhi will be waiting to see what issues PM Modi will address in the rally. Congress leader Mukesh Sharma also alleged that BJP is bringing people from neighbouring states for Modi's rally.

Security arrangements and traffic management in place ahead of PM Modi's 'Abhinandan Rally'

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Security was tightened around the Ramlila Ground on Saturday in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally at the venue in the national capital. The Delhi Traffic Police have also made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth movement of traffic. Modi is to address "Abhinandan Rally" which will be attended by around 1 lakh people. PM will formally kick off BJP's campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls on Saturday at the mega rally. Top leaders including BJP president Amit Shah, Union ministers Arun Jaitely, M Venkaiah Naidu and Piyush Goyal will attend the rally. Besides, chief ministers of Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra will share the dais with the prime minister. The traffic police has advised commuters going to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station and ISBT to start early with sufficient time in hand for absorbing possible delays in the routes.

France attacks prompted by insults to prophets, says purported Al-Qaeda leader

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): An audio recording posted on the Internet attributed to a leader of the Yemeni branch of Al-Qaeda (AQAP) said the attacks in France were prompted by insults to prophets but stopped short of claiming responsibility for the assault on the offices of French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. The authenticity of the audio could not immediately be verified. The voice in recording was purported to be that of Sheikh Hareth al-Nadhari. A Yemeni journalist who specialises in al Qaeda said it was clear that AQAP had provided a "spiritual inspiration" for the attack on the newspaper offices, but there was no clear sign that it was directly responsible for the assault. Altogether 17 victims have died along with the three hostage-takers since Wednesday.

BJP aims to recruit 4.5 million members to party from Andhra Pradesh: Amit Shah

Vijayawada, Jan 10 (ANI): President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amit Shah said his party plans to recruit 4.5 million members from Andhra Pradesh in a bid to strengthen the organisation. Shah is in south India to build force for BJP's membership which has recently gone online. The party aims at reaching a target of 100 million members. Shah, who was speaking at a news conference in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada city, said recruiting a large number of members from the state would strengthen the party. Shah also boasted of BJP's achievement in contributing to the rise in India's economic growth.
