AAP- BJP will surely merge in future: Ajay Maken before filing nomination papers

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Before filing his nomination papers from Sadar Bazar constituency, Congress leader Ajay Maken said that AAP and BJP will surely merge in future. He said that BJP’s CM Candidate Kiran Bedi and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal started their journey from Anna Hazare’s protest and they will ultimately join hands together. He said that the two started with the name of corruption but now no one is talking about the same. He also invited the two leaders for a public debate and taking jibe at Bedi said that a person who can’t debate and answer to people's question, how does she plan to give governance in Delhi. The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7, with the counting of votes set to take place on February 10.

Japan provides human resource training in nuclear power generation

Hanoi/ Japan, Jan 20 (ANI): In order to meet the rapid growth in electricity demand driven by a growing economy and expanding industrial base, Vietnam has decided to introduce nuclear energy. A developing country with a population of 92.5 million, Vietnam has selected Japan as its partner. The government issued a master plan specifying the project of building nuclear power plants, as the first time in Vietnam and South East Asia. Electric Power University (EPU) in Hanoi, is one of the six universities in Vietnam that are authorized to provide human resource training in nuclear power generation. The University has opened the Department of Nuclear Power in 2010 where students are learning basic knowledge required for nuclear power generation. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is one of the first partners which effectively cooperates and supports Electric Power University and provide nuclear engineering lecture. Recently, "Cool Japan lounge" exhibition was held at AEON Mall Binh Duon Canary in Vietnam by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as a part of "Cool Japan World Trial" initiatives. BJP's Jagdish Mukhi offers prayers before filing his nomination papers from Janakpuri constituency

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi on Wednesday offered prayers before filing his nomination papers from Janakpuri constituency of Delhi. Mukhi expressed confidence over his party winning 60 seats in Delhi polls and said that people will surely vote for BJP. He also thanked people for his and party's success. Today is the last day for filing nomination for the Delhi Assembly polls. Scrutiny of nominations papers would be done on January 22 while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is January 24.

Kejriwal leaves to file his nomination, appeals people to pray for AAP victory

Kejriwal said that he is happy about the response he got from people during his road show yesterday and further appealed them to pray for AAP victory during Delhi polls. Have complaint to EC over Kejriwal's repeated 'bribe remarks': KC Mittal

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Congress party filed yet another complaint with the Election Commission against AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal for repeated use of 'bribe remarks'. Congress Legal Department Secretary KC Mittal said that despite being issued notice by the EC, Kejriwal repeated the controversial remarks about taking bribes. Mittal said that norms and rules should be taken care of by all the political parties and leaders. He said that the EC has power to derecognize the party if it so desires and if Kejriwal does not stop making such remarks. Earlier at a rally in Krishnanagar, Kejriwal said he stood by his remarks in which he had asked the voters to accept money from the BJP and the Congress but vote only for AAP.

BJP's CM candidate Kiran Bedi to file nomination today

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi is holding a roadshow ahead of filing her nomination papers for the Delhi assembly election. Earlier in the day, she paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai and also cleaned his statue in Krishna Nagar constituency. She also met tea and newspaper sellers in Krishna Nagar and enquired about the kind of issues they were facing. Bedi is scheduled to file her nomination from Krishna Nagar today. The scrutiny of nominations will take place tomorrow, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is January 24. Polling will take place on February 7 and the counting of votes will be taken up on February 10. Apart from Bedi, several senior leaders will be filing their nomination papers today, including Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Congress campaign chief Ajay Maken.

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Wednesday challenged AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal to file his nomination papers from Krishna Nagar constituency instead of New Delhi constituency. Referring to Kejriwal's invitation to Kiran Bedi for a public debate, Tiwari said that the AAP Chief should change his decision and file nomination from Krishna Nagar against Bedi. Politicos react as Manmohan Singh questioned by CBI in coal block scam case

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Wednesday said that there is no need to politicize former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's examination by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over his role in the coal block allocation case relating to Hindalco, as it is purely a legal process. Earlier today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the CBI was under pressure for not investigating former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his role in the coal block allocation during UPA tenure. The CBI has reportedly examined and questioned the former Prime Minister on his role in the coal block allocation case relating to Hindalco. The CBI is yet to give an official confirmation in this regard, even as Dr Singh's office has denied receiving any such summons. The CBI has to file a status report in connection with the case before a special court by January 27.
