IT department issues notice to AAP over funding; politicos react

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): The income tax department has served a notice to Aam Aadmi Party seeking an explanation on charges of receiving funds from dubious sources. The notice was sent a day after the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party registered a historic win by winning 67 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, beating major players in the state. Politicos on Wednesday reacted on the same.

School children fall sick after taking free anemia tablets in Telangana

Warangal, Feb 11 (ANI): Over 200 students of a government school in Warangal district of Telangana fell sick after consuming free folic acid tablets distributed at a swine flu prevention camp in their school on Tuesday. Reportedly, around 700 students of different age groups took the tablets at their school camp. They were also given homeopathic medicines under the ongoing anti-swine flu drive, undertaken by the Telangana government. After lunch many students complained of nausea, stomach ache and started writhing in pain. Shrill cries of the students and anxious parents created panic in the district hospital. Meanwhile, Warangal Collector V Karuna said that all the students were safe and under care of a team of doctors. According to doctors, iron tablets could cause stomach irritation and the midday meal laced with spicy curry might have resulted in pain.

Shanti Bhushan claims AAP gave tickets to people for money and distributed liquor, Politicos react

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Wednesday after Former Law Minister and founder-member of the Aam Aadmi Party Shanti Bhushan alleged that AAP traded tickets for money and distributed liquor to garner votes from the people in the Delhi assembly elections. BJP leader Shazia Ilmi said that AAP has to give a valid reason as to why some people were given party tickets. Congress leader PC Chacko said that there may be some inner conflict between AAP and Shanti Bhushan. AAP leader Atishi Marlena demanded Shanti Bhushan to produce proof of the allegations he has made on AAP.

New Delhi/ Ranchi, Feb 11 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Wednesday after six MLAs of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha joined the BJP in presence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Delhi. Kashmir observes shutdown to mark death anniversary of separatist leader

Srinagar, Feb 11 (ANI): Shops and business remained closed and people stayed indoors in Srinagar on Wednesday (February 11) demanding the remains of separatist leader Mohammad Maqbool Bhat who was hanged and buried in New Delhi's Tihar jail over two decades ago. Bhat, founder of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), was executed on February 11, 1984 on the charge of killing an Indian intelligence officer, while JKLF denies the charge. Police and paramilitary soldiers patrolled deserted streets in Kashmir valley to prevent protests on the anniversary of Bhat's execution, witnesses said.

Congress gets IT notice over funding

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Congress party has received an Income Tax notice over funding of Rs 10 lakh into the party’s account. Treasurer of All India Congress Committee, Motilal Vora said that the party has accepted that a cheque of Rs 10 lakh was received and it will respond to the notice accordingly. He said that the cheque was received along with a covering letter.
