Fodder Scam: Lalu out of jail on bail

Ranchi, Dec 16 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Monday walked out of the Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Friday in the infamous Fodder Scam. Alleging that the CBI of doing injustice to him Lalu said he was now ready to take on his political rivals including BJP's PM Candiate, Narendra Modi.

Committee formed to probe infants death in Muzaffarnagar relief camps: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Dec 16 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav on Monday while giving details about the relief provided to Muzaffarnagar riot victims staying in relief camps, said that a committee has been formed to probe the matter of children dying in the camps and added that it will soon submit its report. Yadav also said that the UP government has made arrangements for blankets, pillows and clothes for the affected people living in the relief camps. Yadav's statement comes after the Apex Court last week pulled the state government over the plight of victims of the riots and ordered the administration to immediately supply medical help to people living in relief camps.

Delhi Gangrape, A Year On: Accused Juvenile must get his due, says victim's mother

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): A year passed by and the grieved parents of the Delhi gang rape victim, often dubbed as 'Nirbhaya' waiting for a change in Indian laws, voiced their feelings about the entire episode that had once outraged the entire country and said that the accused juvenile must be punished. On December 16, 2012, a 23-year-old physiotherapy student was gang raped for an hour and tortured with an iron rod on a moving bus in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the victim's mother, Asha, also added that in such cases the judgement should come in a stipulated time so that the convicts receive their due punishments.

Nirbhaya fund usage to begin soon: Shinde

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Monday said that Nirbhaya fund, set up for women's safety, will be utilized soon. Speaking to mediapersons in New Delhi, Shinde said that the Finance Ministry has cleared the plans, paving the way for the utilization of the Rs 1,000-crore Nirbhaya Fund.

Delhi gang-rape: Laws passed, implementation a big issue, says Meira Kumar
