Modis gesture to Muslims invites political controversy, BJP says just his etiquette

Lucknow, Dec 21 (ANI): After Narendra Modi’s gesture to a Muslim man in Varanasi invited political controversy terming the same as his vote bank politics, UP BJP President Laxmikant Bajpai said that it’s nothing but just Modi’s etiquette which made him to wave back to any supporter. He said that the people, who are putting allegation against Modi, must lack in normal manners and etiquette to wave back their supporters. He said that the Muslim man shouted ‘Modi uncle’ to which Modi waved back and said ‘Thank you’ and there was nothing to make an issue about.

Indias Foreign Secretary tells US to treat their envoys on par with American diplomats

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Following the arrest and strip search of Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade in America last week, India’s Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh said that the US should treat Indian diplomats the way they take care of diplomats from America and other countries. Addressing the mediapersons at the 86th Annual Conference of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi, Sujatha Singh blamed media for spinning the matter. India retaliated strongly to the U.S on December 19, urging it to withdraw a visa fraud case, suggesting United States Secretary of State, John Kerry's expression of regret over the treatment meted with her while in custody was not enough. Speaking at the conference, Singh defended India and its decisions.

Hyderabad police books Salman, Bigg Boss producers for hurting Muslim sentiments

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (ANI): The Andhra Pradesh police filed a complaint against controversial reality show 'Bigg Boss 7' and its host, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan for hurting religious sentiments of Muslims.Mohammed Fasihuddin, a Muslim, lodged a First Information Report (FIR) in Hyderabad after watching the show, which has already been in a number of controversies since its commencement on September 15. In his complaint, he said the show had created 'hell' and 'heaven' inside the house, which is a very pious concept in their religion. The police might send summons to Bollywood actor Salman Khan to appear before the investigating officer, who is looking into the matter.
