AAP will form government if majority wants it: Manish Sisodia

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia after a meeting in Delhi on Saturday said that they will form a government in Delhi if the majority of people wanted the same. The Party had earlier sought a referendum from people on government's formation in Delhi and it is receiving a positive response from the people.

Jayanthi Natarajan resigns, Moily takes charge as Environment Minister

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Jayanthi Natarajan on Saturday resigned as Minister of State for Environment and Forests. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Veerappa Moily has been given additional charge of Environment Ministry. According to sources, general secretaries in the Congress, who wish to contest Lok Sabha elections could be replaced by Central Ministers who will be drafted for party work, provided they belong to the Rajya Sabha. The 59-year-old leader, hails from Tamil Nadu and was brought in the environment ministry two years ago.

Government dragging feet in Justice Ganguly case: Balbir Punj

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Balbir Punj on Saturday said that the government was dragging its feet in the case of former justice A.K Ganguly who has been accused of sexually harassing a law intern, just because he is a former Supreme Court Judge. The Home Ministry had sought the opinion of the Attorney General on the suggestion for the removal of AK Ganguly from his position as Chairman of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission on Thursday.

AAP is a confused party which is abusing Congress on purpose: Kirti Azad

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirti Azad said on Saturday that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is abusing the Congress on purpose, so that the Congress withdraws its support and releases the pressure from AAP to form a government in Delhi. He said that AAP is a confused party which did not know how to deal with the current situation. In a recent tweet AAP leader Kumar Vishwas had called the Congress a two headed snake. He had also called them cheaters in another tweet.

Indian politicos draw contradictory opinions on no apology from US over Devyani's case

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): As US remained firm on no apology, no withdrawing of case against Devyani Khobragade, Indian politicos expressed contradictory views over the same. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that India should take firm position over the issue and Devyani case must be treated as something to restore the pride of the nation. Congress supporting AAP as they are 'booted by people': Atul Anjan

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): After congress claimed that they are offering 'unconditional support' to AAP keeping in view sentiments of people of Delhi, CPI leader Atul Kumar Anjan said that this is not the case but rather because people have 'booted them away'. He said that there was no alternative left to Congress than offering support to AAP. Anjan also challenged Congress to run the coalition for two years atleast without bringing no-confidence motion, if they care so much about sentiments of Delhi people.

Prithviraj Chavan given clean chit, issue should not be stretched: Praful Patel on Adarsh scam

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Talking about the controversial Adarsh scam report which was tabled in the Maharashtra state assembly earlier, NCP leader Praful Patel said that the state Governor has given a clean chit to the accused in the case, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and that the issue should not be stretched any further. CPI targets Maharashtra govt over Adarsh Commission report

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Reacting over the Maharashtra cabinet rejecting the report of a judicial commission on the Adarsh housing scam, senior CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta said that it is unfortunate and the enquiry report based on objective facts cannot be rejected.
