New Delhi/ Lucknow, Dec 27 (ANI): Politicos on Friday slammed the Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary, Home, Anil Gupta after he raged a controversy by stating that no one died of cold in the Muzaffarnagar relief camps. Gupta on Friday said that children living in the relief camp died because of different ailments and not only cold. He also added that if people die of cold then nobody will survive in Siberia. UP govt admits death of 34 children in Muzaffarnagar relief camps, draws protest

Lucknow/ Muzaffarnagar/ Varanasi, Dec 27 (ANI): Amid a raging controversy over numbar of deaths in Muzaffarnagar relief camps, Uttar Pradesh government has admitted that 34 children below the age of 15 died in the camps for the riot-hit victims. Forty-five people have died in the prosperous sugarcane district of Muzaffarnagar and surrounding areas since clashes erupted between Muslims and majority Hindu Jats. This was concluded in a report by a fact-finding committee of the state government. Earlier, Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had made a remark where he stated that those living in the relief camps are not riot victims, but conspirators and political activists planted by Congress party and the BJP. Mumbai, Dec 27 (ANI): Supporters of the youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested outside jailed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's residence in Mumbai to oppose the grant of repeated paroles to the actor. Dutt has been convicted under Arms Act for possessing illegal firearms. On December 21, Sanjay Dutt was let out of the prison on a month long parole after he filed an application citing his wife Manyata's illness, although media reported that she was seen attending social events. Reportedly, Manyata has been diagnosed with a tumour in the liver and a suspected heart ailment. Earlier, the 53-year-old actor had also availed a month-long furlough on medical grounds in October.
