In the new biopic releasing this week, many instances about his life will come to life. Fans of the late rapper will get a closer view into his life and numerous speculations will pave the way. But amidst this all, fans will look forward to his biopic to understand how he died.

While Tupac's death remains unresolved, LAPD insider has spoken in detail to People and concluded that Tupac's murder was a result of gang retaliation violence.

An LAPD source told the website, "[Tupac] wanted to get out of jail and he basically signed his life away to Suge [Knight]. He didn't want to do it, but when he does that they own him," the source explained. "[He] immediately [became] enemies with the Crips" owing to Suge's association with LA gang Mob Piru — which was "built off of Death Row."

"Some people thought Suge had Tupac killed because he was trying to leave Death Row and start his own label," the insider added.

On the day of his death, Tupac was involved in an argument with Orlando Anderson of the Crips in Las Vegas. "It was simple retaliation: you mess with one of ours, we will mess with one of yours. If Orlando had never been jumped in the hotel, they never would have killed Tupac that night," the insider shared.

After he was shot, laying on the ground, a policeman asked him who pulled the trigger. Tupac responded, "F**k you." Those were his last words.

"There are a lot of land mines in this case. It's been on my plate for 16 years and it's one of those cases I wish I could finish," says Las Vegas Police Department detective Dan Long.

"I don't believe there was any justice for Tupac because we never finished the investigation, [or] even came out and said directly who the suspect is. Without an arrest, we can't do that and there can't be an arrest because he is dead," he shared.
