Actress Jayamala, the president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KPCC), has denied that Yash's movie Toxic: Fairytale for Grownups shows women and Christian religion in a bad light.

The makers of Toxic: Fairytale for Grownups recently released a teaser of the movie, which has soared curiosity and expectations. Meanwhile, the video has also courted a couple controversies. It is alleged that the movie shows women in a bad light through an intimate scene.

It is also alleged that the film hurts the sentiments of Christians. The National Christian Federation (NCF) filed a complaint against the movie. However, in a recent press meet, KFCC president Jayamala spoke about the controversy and said, "Just by watching the teaser, you cannot decide to hold a protest against the movie. You have to watch full movie and then decide to do it."

Jayamala said that the Censor Board will review the movie before its release and take necessary action against the film. She said, "The movie has not been censored yet. The makers have submitted a letter to the Censor Board, which will take care of the things. If it really hurt the sentiments of any religion, the Censor Board will really take necessary action against the film."

The KFCC president added, "If there is something that hurts the sentiments, we will also join hands with you. But such thing will not be there in the movie. Because Yash is thinker and the producers have invested several crores on the film. They will not do such a thing."

Talking about the intimate scene, Jayamala said that the teaser shows guns and a knife. It does not mean it glorifies violence. There is no vulgar scene. There is something behind the story of the scene. One needs to understand the intent behind the scene. The makers have also cleared that there is no sleazy scene in the movie."
