The members of the Indian and Australian team took time off their busy schedules and visited the residence of the Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison on January 1.
The two teams led by respective captains, Virat Kohli and Tim Paine was hosted at the official residence of the Prime Minister, the Kirribilli House in Sydney on New Year's Day.
The members of the Indian team were seen wearing white shirts and grey Nehru Jackets. The Indian coach Ravi Shastri also sported a golden hat. Hardik Pandya, Umesh Yadav and Rishabh Pant were seen in a different attire as they wore the Team India blazer instead of a Nehru Jacket.
The members of the Australian team sported the Team Australia t-shirt at the event.
Rohit Sharma was unable to attend the event as the 31-year-old has flown back to India to be with his wife as she gave birth to a baby girl.
The two teams are currently in the middle of an intense Test series wherein after three matches, India leads the hosts 2-1. If India manages to avoid defeat in the final Test match at Sydney, the visitors will win a Test series Down Under for the first time in their history.
Australia, on their part, will be keen to avoid a series defeat having already lost the Border-Gavaskar trophy. India, having won the last series between the two sides, will walk away with the trophy regardless of the result of the fourth Test beginning on January 3.
