Limited edition models during the festive season are nothing new in India. The carmakers will make the most of the festive months, confirming increased sales by introducing the unique version of its existing cars. Tata Motors is not far behind as it has lined-up limited edition version of Nexon compact SUV.

Although the name of the limited edition is still unknown, Tata Motors has started a campaign in order to generate a buzz before launch. The teasers confirm the limited edition will feature neon green coloured highlights. The striking colour touches have been confirmed in Nexon limited edition's rear view mirror caps, front grille, and the air-con vents in the cabin.

Judging by the teaser images so far, the upcoming limited edition Nexon is expected to get a treatment in line with the Tata Tigor Buzz edition launched in June this year.

In that case, the Nexon limited edition will be a pure cosmetic job and neon green colour touches can be further seen in the dual-tone wheel cover as well as over the seat upholstery inside the cabin. A glossy black roof and limited edition badging at the rear may complete the look.

The Nexon is one of the bestselling models of Tata Motors and it finds nearly 4,000 takers every month in the domestic market. Priced from Rs 6.16 lakh for petrol variants and Rs 7.18 lakh for diesel variants, the Nexon draws power from either a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated diesel mill.

The compact SUV is available in both manual and automatic transmission options. There are no changes expected in mechanics in the limited edition version of the Nexon.

Tata Nexon made headlines recently for its safety. The compact SUV launched in July last year scored four out of five stars in a crash test conducted by the global safety watchdog Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP).
