Mirchi Shiva and Ashok Selvan starrer "144" was released on Friday, 27 November. It is a comedy movie directed by Manikandan.

Oviya and Shruti Ramakrishna are in the female lead roles in "144". Ramdoss, Uday Mahesh, Madhusudhan Rao, Jawahar Sakthi and others are in the cast. 

The music director of this film is Sean Roldan, while the cinematography is taken care by Gurudev. Leo John Paul handles the editing department.

The clash between two villages when curfew is imposed forms the crux of "144". A line from Sujatha's novel has inspired the director to churn out a comedy entertainer.

While Ashok Selvan plays the role of a car racer, Shiva will be seen in the role of a thief with Oviya enacting the role of an item girl and Shruti doing the character of a drug addict.
