Director Indra Kumar, who is known for his comedy films such as "Grand Masti" and "Dhamaal", has made his comeback with another entertainer titled "Super Nani", which released in theatres across the globe on 31 October. The movie has been hyped a lot, as it marks the return of yesteryear actress Rekha, who is playing the protagonist the film.

"Super Nani" is a family entertainer, which is high on comic quotient. Written by Indra Kumar, the movie has a wonderful story that deals with a burning issue of the neglected female fraternity trapped in the four walls of a house. It is a message oriented film. Besides providing entertainment, it also makes the viewers realise the importance of women in the society.

"Super Nani" is the Bollywood film adaptation of hit Gujarati play "Baa Ae Maari Boundary", which is all about a woman who is ridiculed and taken for granted by her family. It is another Bollywood movie that focuses on woman empowerment. The protagonist urges the female community to discover their inner strength. The film is loaded with family drama, emotion, romance and comedy.

Bharti Bhatia (Rekha) is the protagonist, who sacrifices everything for the pleasure of her children and grandchildren. But her love and hard work are taken for granted by her family. Her grandson Manorath (Sharman Joshi) realises the abuse and insult caused to her. How he makes his family realise her value will form the crux of the story.

As the protagonist Nani, Rekha, who is an ageless beauty, has delivered a brilliant performance in "Super Nani". She is at a complete ease in comedy and sentimental scenes. She has carried the whole responsibility on her shoulders. Sharman Joshi and Shweta Kumar have filled the element of romance in the film, while Randhir Kapoor and Anupam Kher added comic quotient to it.

"Super Nani" has decent production elements too. Harshit Saxena and Sanjeev-Darshan's soundtracks and backgrounds are the main highlights in the technical front. The cinematography is another big asset of the film. Other technical aspects are also commendable.

Overall, "Super Nani" is a good family entertainer, which makes the viewers laugh as well as cry. It is a great comeback for Rekha, who overshadows all other actors in the film. The predictable plot and over melodrama are its two big drawbacks, which may not stop the audience from enjoying the movie.
