Suniel Shetty was every bit of an emotional father as he joined son Ahan at a 'Border 2' event. Suniel joined the cast of the film at the release of the song – 'Ae Jaate Huye Lamhon'. It was here that papa Shetty got tearful as he remembered the tough phase his son faced after the failure of his debut film – Tadap.
Suniel Shetty, who was an integral part of the iconic 'Border' attended the event with Ahan Shetty in Mumbai. The 'Dhadkan' actor got teary-eyed remembering Ahan's tough phase and how everyone thinks that he has it easy for him. Suniel Shetty also went on to say that getting such a big project as his second film is a big feat.

Big project
"It is his second film aur itni badi film milna... Bahut hi responsible film hai. When Ahan was doing the film, maine tabhi unse kaha tha ke 'Ahan, it is not just uniform. Remember this' (Getting such a big film is huge. It is a responsible film. When Ahan was shooting for the film, I told him 'Ahan, it is not just uniform. Remember this'," he said while getting emotional.

Suniel Shetty said that post 'Tadap' there was a setback in his personal and professional life. He added that his son went through a lot in that period. But, expressed gratitude for him getting such a big project so early in his career.
The setback
"After his first film, there was a little break in (his life and career). You know, there's always turmoil in our lives. Sab bolte hain ke Suniel Shetty ka beta hai kaam toh bahut hi milta hai (Everyone thinks that he is Suniel Shetty's son and he would have got a lot of work). But somewhere or the other, there's a lot that Ahan went through in life. But I am happy that he got Border 2 as his second film. Usse badiya film nahi mil sakti (He couldn't have gotten a better film than that). And I just pray that he has done justice and the film works for all of us," Suniel added.
Ahan had made his Bollywood debut with Milan Luthria directorial Tadap in 2021. He was paired opposite Tara Sutaria in the film but it failed to work any magic at the box office.
