Year 2025 was a year of some unexpected hits. Ranbir Kapoor dominated 2025 with his fearsome performance in 2025 and towards the end, it was Ranveer Singh who the screens with Dhurandhar. Year 2026 promises to be even more entertaining with some of the biggest sequels lined up for release. Let's take a look.
Border 2: Sunny Deol has joined hands with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in the second part of the epic saga. The Anurag Singh directed film is looking at a grand release on January 23, 2026.
Dhurandhar 2: We are not yet the Dhurandhar fever and before we know it, Aditya Dhar will be back with Dhurandhar 2. Starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun; the second part will take us back to Ranveer's character's past.
Animal 2 or Animal Park: Ranbir Kapoor will be back with an even more menacing avatar in Animal Park. Sandeep Reddy Vanga had left the industry and the audience divided with his fearless and unconventional movie making. And with the second part, the director aims at taking the plot even further towards the deeper end. The film is expected to land sometime in March – April 2026.
Cocktail 2: Touted as the spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail, Cocktail 2 is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. Starring Rashmika Mandanna, Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor; the film will again deal with heartbreaks and relationships. The film will release sometime around August – October 2026.
Drishyam 3: Another cult classic, Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam' is going to be back with its third instalment. Amid the buzz around Akshaye Khanna having walked out of the film, there are reports of the makers planning the release on October 2.
Bhediya 2 and Dhamaal 4: Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Javed Jaaferi are all set to ensue fun and chaos in the fourth instalment of the comic caper. The film is looking at Eid 2026 release. Maddock's Supernatural Universe will be back with Varun Dhawan's 'Bhediya 2'. After the massive success of 'Stree' and teasing us with 'Bhediya' and 'Vicky Please', the film is set for release on August 14, 2026.
