Lady Gaga is all set to enthral in what will be her biggest onscreen performance opposite Oscar-nominated actor, Bradley Cooper in 'A Star Is Born'.

The film, which is a third remake of the 1973 movie, marks Cooper's directorial debut. Lady Gaga whose actual name is Stefani Germanotta plays the lead role of Ally, a singer-songwriter who is discovered by Cooper's character Jackson, a musician in the film.

However, what is most exciting is that not only will we hear Gaga belt out a few numbers in 'A Star Is Born', but we will also be treated to Cooper's vocal talent in the film. Both stars were promoting the film on Saturday, September 8 at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

In a quote to E! News, Gaga spoke about her co-star, "What connected us immediately was when we first really met together, we had just an instant connection. I could just see it in his eyes. And when I heard him sing for the first time, I stopped dead in my tracks, playing the piano, and I looked over to him and I said, 'Bradley, you can sing!' Oh my gosh! It was wonderful."

She further added, "And then we kept going. Before we knew it, we were harmonizing. And he filmed us doing it. We have a tape of the first time we ever sang together."

During a press conference at the Toronto International Film Festival, Lady Gaga also talked about the struggle artists face with regard to mental health and substance abuse, saying that the entertainment industry needs to pay attention and reach out to artists before it's too late. "I think that would be wonderful, not just for artists, but the whole world, if we intervene early in life when we see people struggling," she said.

"Fame is very unnatural. And we see that Jack is struggling is this film. There's substance abuse, there's trauma. Ally also, for me, is struggling from depression at the beginning of the film, in not believing in herself," Gaga said. "The truth is, people think we change. It's not us that change, it's everyone around us who changes."
