The madness and craze of Superstar Mahesh Babu's fans was seen hitting new heights on Sunday evening, as his blockbuster movie "Srimanthudu" had its world TV premiere on Zee Telugu.

Released in theatres on 7 August, "Srimanthudu" has become a huge success at the box office. The movie has shattered the records of "Attarintiki Daredi" and "Magadheera" and became the second all time highest grossing Telugu film after "Baahubali". Mahesh mania, which peaked during the release of "Srimanthudu", surprised many across the country.

Zee Telugu acquired the satellite rights of "Srimanthudu" for a whopping amount of Rs 12 crore, which is said to be second highest price after "Baahubali". A couple of weeks before its premiere, the bosses of the channel released promos of the film and announced the date of its world premiere. They also posted comments about its telecast on its official Twitter and Facebook pages several times.

On Sunday morning, Mahesh Babu, who is not very active on social media, informed his Twitter followers about the TV premiere of "Srimanthudu". The superstar tweeted, "Srimanthudu hits the small screens today for its World TV premiere.. Enjoy :) #SrimanthuduOnZeeTelugu."
