Descendants of the Sun actress Song Hye Kyo recently held a fan meet to celebrate her long stint in the South Korean entertainment industry, and she turned emotional while reading a few letters from fans.
The actress also had a note prepared for her fans, where she expressed her gratitude for all the love her fans have given her through the years.
"For the past 20 years as an actress, a lot of things have happened to me. Happy, exciting and also sad things. Things I have expected to happens, but also some I didn't expect. I have overcome hardships because of family, friends, and you guys," she said.
But the surprising part of the meet-and-greet was the sudden appearance of Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo's co-star in the successful Descendants of the Sun. This has once again given traction to rumours that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are in a romantic relationship. Neither of them has confirmed these rumours, but this has not stopped speculation about when they would get married.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo played on-screen lovers Yoo Shi Jin and Kang Mo Yeon respectively in the Korean military drama. The series became such a global phenomenon that KBS decided to come out with a sequel.
However, it is not immediately known if Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will be a part of it, as both of them are busy with other projects. Unconfirmed reports also claim that Descendants of the Sun Season 2 will be scrapped if the duo is unable to set aside a few days for the project.
