South Korean Actress Shin Hye Sun has confirmed to play the lead role in a new romantic drama series.
YNK Entertainment, the actress' agency confirmed on December 11 that "Shin Hye Sun has decided to appear in KBS2's "One and Only Love" as her next project".
According to reports, "One and Only Love" is a romantic drama which shows the life of the tragic heroine Lee Yeon Seo, a beautiful and privileged heiress to a wealthy conglomerate. Despite many advantages and luxuries, the protagonist ends up losing her eyesight in an unexpected tragic accident, forcing her to abandon her dreams of becoming a ballerina.
Shin Hye Sun plays the role of the head-strong and sharp-tongued Lee Yeon Seo who finds it hard to trust and find true love. The protagonist chances upon her true love and gradually transforms into a beautiful personality.
The production agency is reportedly in talks with INFINITE's L to play the male lead for the romantic drama. The hero of the series is said to be a troublesome angel called Dan who has been entrusted with the task of assisting Lee Yeon Seo to find her true love, so he can return to heaven.
Shin Hye Sun was recently seen on KBS2 TV's hit series "My Golden Life" and SBS's romantic comedy "30 but 17". The talented actress had her breakthrough in 2016 with "Five Enough" as a gullible hopeless romantic which gave her wide popularity among viewers.
She played a role in the same year in a fantasy romantic drama called "The Legend of the Blue Sea". She landed her first leading role in film with "A Day" and also featured in a crime thriller series titled "Stranger".
"One and Only Love" will premiere in May 2019.
