Shailaja Reddy Alludu pre-release business: Naga Chaitanya's film fetches record price for theatrical rights

Naga Chaitanya's Shailaja Reddy Alludu (SRA) has witnessed fantastic response in the pre-release business with its global theatrical rights fetching record prices and beating the record of Yuddham Sharanam.

Naga Chaitanya has joined hands with successful young director Maruthi Dasari and their combo has created a lot of curiosity about Shailaja Reddy Alludu. In addition, its promos struck a chord with the film goers and doubled their expectations on it. The hype surrounding it generated a lot of demand for its theatrical rights and many leading distribution houses were vying their hands for its rights.

Shailaja Reddy Alludu is scheduled to hit screens around the world on September 13. Two days ahead of its release, we hear that the makers of the movie have already sealed the deal on the sale of its worldwide theatrical rights, which have reportedly fetched them Rs 24 crore.

Naga Chaitanya's Yuddham Sharanam had earned Rs 20 crore from the sale of its distribution rights and it was the highest record for the actor. Now, Shailaja Reddy Alludu has smashed this record and set a new goal for his upcoming movies. But Yuddham Sharanam had bombed at the box office, as it just recovered 27 percent of the distributors' investment. It should be seen whether the latest outing will be hit or not.
