Shah Rukh Khan and director Anand L Rai's collaboration made headlines recently coming over cast replacement that hinted at Ranveer Singh taking the superstar's place in the film.

Turns out, King Khan and the filmmaker are still discussing the possibilities and will make an official announcement once every detail is looked after, reported Mid Day.

"Shah Rukh is still a part of Rai's film. In fact, they met on Thursday evening to discuss a few things in the script. SRK is working out his dates and the official announcement will come after he signs on the dotted line," a source informed the leading daily.

The insider went on to reveal the names of actresses who were being considered for the project. Woman-of-the-moment Deepika Padukone and the feisty Alia Bhatt are reportedly in talks. "Neither of them will talk about until the contract has been signed. Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone are being considered for the lead roles opposite him," the source added.

SRK has worked with Padukone in "Om Shanti Om", "Chennai Express" and "Happy New Year", and will begin Gauri Shinde's next alongside Bhatt once his "Raees" schedule is over.

In other news, Rai had once expressed interest in making a romantic film with the "Dilwale" actor, but the film in question will have him play a dwarf. What's interesting to note is Salman Khan was approached for the untitled project he but had to bow out of it due to lack of dates.
