Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh may share a healthy relationship, but the clash of their films – "Dilwale" and "Bajirao Mastani" – at the box office has had some serious repercussions.

According to a Spotboye report, SRK has walked out of Anand L Rai's next because Eros, with which the superstar hasn't had a great working relationship since "Ra.One" tanked, will be co-producing the project. Ranveer is now a strong contender for the role.

Interestingly, the filmmaker has always maintained that the details of his next are yet to be finalised. However, his desire to work with the "Dilwale" actor in a romantic film immediately sparked rumours of the latter romancing Deepika Padukone in the untitled project.

"Aanand L Rai is planning to cast Deepika Padukone in his next. He doesn't want to work with Kangana for his next again, he wants to change things a bit and that's why he wants to cast Deepika," Bollywood Life quoted an insider as saying. A few months later, Rai rubbished speculations saying he wasn't doing any film with the superstar adding that he is still busy writing the script.

"I request people to stop jumping to conclusions and allow me to make an official announcement on the film, which we will make as soon as we finalize all the details," the director told Koimoi.

In other news, Ranveer has signed Aditya Chopra's "Befikre", which the young star considers to be a big achievement as the master filmmaker has only worked with SRK in all these years. "Aditya wants me to prep for three months for this light romance which will be shot in Paris. It's a huge deal for me to be working with Aditya sir," The Indian Express quoted him as saying.
