Samsung unveiled its latest foldable smartphone lineup at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on Wednesday, introducing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, alongside the new Galaxy Watch series.
The latest foldables come with upgraded cameras, larger batteries, slimmer designs and new Galaxy AI features aimed at improving productivity and everyday usability.
Galaxy Z Fold8 specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor and packs a 4,800mAh battery. It features a 10:16 cover display for everyday tasks and a 4:3 main display designed for reading, multitasking and media consumption.

Samsung has introduced a new passport-like form factor, making the Fold8 wider and more compact than its predecessor for easier one-handed use while folded.

The smartphone sports an 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a tablet-like experience for streaming, gaming and productivity. Samsung has also redesigned the hinge and slimmed down the device to reduce the visibility of the display crease.
Running Android 17 with Samsung's latest One UI, the Galaxy Z Fold8 comes with Galaxy AI features designed to enhance multitasking and on-device intelligence.
Samsung has also upgraded the camera system, improved durability and enhanced battery optimisation, positioning the Fold8 as a premium productivity-focused foldable.
