The Indian team was in a celebratory mood following their historic victory against Australia at Melbourne and coach Ravi Shastri outdid everyone as he was spotted with a beer bottle outside the team hotel on Sunday, December 30.

India put in a dominant display at Melbourne in the third Test match to defeat the Aussies by 137 runs and take a 2-1 lead in the series. Heading into the final Test at Sydney, the visitors stand on the brink of an unprecedented series win Down Under.

The Indian team completely outplayed their opponents in the match after captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first on the morning of day 1. Debutant Mayank Agarwal set the tone opening the batting following which Cheteshwar Pujara, Kohli and Rohit Sharma helped India score a huge first innings total of 443-7.

The bowlers, then took control of the match led by Jasprit Bumrah's magical spell of 6-33 to skittle out the Aussie for a paltry 151. In the second innings, Pat Cummins provided sturdy resistance to take the game to the fifth day but eventually, India came out victors by a convincing margin of 137 runs.

Naturally, the Indian contingent was a happy bunch and their flamboyant coach took the celebrations up a notch. Shastri was seen coming out of the team bus drinking beer. This did not please fans on Twitter who had a go at the coach.

 The final Test between India and Australia at Sydney will begin from January 3, 2019.
