Director Omung Kumar's film on Indian brave heart Sarabjit Singh will feature Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda as siblings.
Earlier, the director announced that Aishwarya Rai will play the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur. And on Wednesday, he revealed the male lead of the film, who is none other than Randeep Hooda.
The "Highway" actor will play the role of Sarabjit, while Aishwarya Rai will play the role of his sister. The "Mary Kom" director took to Twitter to announce that Randeep and Aishwarya will be seen as brother and sister in the biopic.
"Aishwarya and @RandeepHooda in my next film SARBJIT coming soon," he tweeted.
"Randeep is the ideal choice for my file. He fits the role really well and besides being the hard working person that he is, he looks the character. Above all, he's a method actor," the filmmaker told Hindustan Times.
He also added that audience will see a different kind of chemistry between Aishwarya and Randeep in the biopic.
The biopic is being produced by Sandeep Singh, Zeeshan Quadri and Omung Kumar. The film will go on the floor in October this year and is expected to release at Cannes Film Festival 2016.
