Malayalam movies Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan have been performing well at the Kerala box office since October 7. The big-budget movies starring Mohanlal and Mammootty, respectively, continue making fabulous collections from the multiplexes in Kochi.
Both Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan completed 10 days of theatrical run in Kerala and the Mohanlal-starrer remains on the top spot by raking in a total gross collection of Rs 1.39 crore from the Kochi multiplexes. The movie earned Rs 16.27 lakh on the 10th day alone after running 35 housefull shows with a theatre occupancy of 99.46 percent. The 10-day average occupancy of the movie stands at 96.77 percent at the multiplexes alone.

The collection of the action thriller has increased on the 10th day compared to the 9th day collection that amounts to Rs 14.95 lakh with 22 housefull shows out of 44 shows at the six multiplexes.

Meanwhile, Thoppil Joppan has also opened to positive response from the audience. The Johny Antony directorial has so far collected Rs 61.05 lakh within 10 days of its theatrical run from the multiplexes. From Rs 3.87 lakh on the 9th day, the collection of Mammootty-starrer witnessed a rise to Rs 4.92 lakh on the 10th day. However, compared to Pulimurugan, the family comedy entertainer had only three housefull shows with an occupancy of 68.21 percent on the 10th day.

After witnessing a tremendous collection at the Kerala box office, director Vysakh's action thriller, produced by Tomichan Mulakupaadam, has been scheduled to hit screens in the UAE and GCC on November 3 and in Europe on November 4.
