Priyanka Chopra has been keeping mum about her engagement with beau Nick Jonas while the latter has been open-heartedly acknowledging their relationship with his fans. However, it looks like the Quantico star is looking to throw a party for her close friends in Mumbai on August 18 to announce her wedding with the American pop singer.
"Priyanka has sent out messages to close friends and family members to set aside time on August 18 for a party. It's exactly a month after her birthday and those close to the Quantico actress feel that she may make an official announcement about her relationship status at the bash. However, the venue of the do has been kept under wraps," a source was quoted as saying by DNA.
In June, Nick created frenzy when he came to Mumbai to meet Priyanka's mother. A few weeks ago, Priyanka had opened up about her relationship with Nick and his trip to India.
During her trip, Priyanka introduced Nick to her mother Madhu and several other Bollywood celebrities. The couple then took off to Goa for a much-needed vacation and had a great time together. They also attended Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's pre-engagement bash and were seen making an appearance walking hand-in-hand at the ceremony.
"We're getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him," told People on the sidelines of a recent Vogue event in the Hamptons. "That's what he said. I think he really enjoyed it," she added.
And once again Nick would be visiting India but this time his family is also expected to accompany the couple.
"His family, too, is expected to join the couple for the trip. Nick, who was earlier a member of the band Jonas Brothers, is part of a close-knit clan. In fact, PC and he took out time to attend the latter's cousin's wedding in June. They were also spotted on a double date with his brother Joe Jonas and his girlfriend Sophie Turner," the source added.
It is being said that Nick Jonas closed down a Tiffany & Co store to pick the perfect engagement ring for his ladylove. He popped the question to Priyanka on her 36th birthday on July 18 and she apparently said yes.
While the preparation for the wedding seems to be going in full swing, the couple had reportedly visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their residence in London last week, where the actress introduced her boyfriend to her friend Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The lovebirds enjoyed some time at the royal couple's house around the same week that Nick reportedly proposed to Priyanka, usmagazine.com reported.
Fans are now eagerly waiting for Priyanka and Nick to come out of the closet as a couple and make their relationship official.
