Hollywood insiders have revealed that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are getting married. The Quantico actress and the Jealous singer are engaged two months after the news about their dating made the headlines.
Sources confirmed to People Magazine that the 25-year-old popped the question and Priyanka has said yes.
The insider told the publication that the couple got engaged a week ago when the two stars were in London celebrating Priyanka's 36th birthday. "They are so happy," the source revealed.
Speaking of the ring, the insider shared that the Jonas brother closed down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy the engagement ring.
A source close to Jonas said that the singer is "very, very happy." The insider shared, "His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they're all really excited for him. He's definitely very serious about her."
The news about their engagement comes around the same time as Priyanka stepped down from her role in Bollywood movie Bharat. The actress did not reveal a reason behind her decision but the director of the movie, Ali Abbas Zafar, took to Twitter and dropped major hints that marriage was on the cards.
His cryptic tweet read, "Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life."
While a Mirror report states that the actress stepped down from her role in the Salman Khan starrer because she bagged a bigger role, fans and Indian media are convinced that Zafar was hinting to her wedding plans.
The news about the engagement comes two months after it was reported that the Baywatch star was dating the Jumanji cast member. The two, who met at the MET Gala in 2016, were spotted on several dates and enjoying secret holidays with family and friends.
Nick introduced Priyanka to his family and they really hit it off. Following that, Priyanka brought Nick to India and introduced him to her mother, family and friends. The couple also took a mini-vacation to Goa before heading to Brazil where Nick performed at a music concert and love-struck Priyanka watched from the crowds.
