After reports revealed that Priyanka Chopra is now engaged to Nick Jonas, the actress has finally broken her silence over the speculations of her engagement.
The Quantico actress was recently asked about her relationship with the American singer and she wasn't happy. She immediately clapped back and said that her life is not for "public consumption."
"My personal life is not for public consumption. 90% of my life is for public consumption but 10% is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don't think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for the Office, so I don't think I need to give explanations," Priyanka said.
The 36-year-old gave that statement when she appeared on an interactive session titled "Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths" which was organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) and Yes bank.
The actress added, "Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I get annoyed. Mostly, I tell my publicists, 'Let it be. Today's news is tomorrow's trash.'"
Her statement comes after Bollywood director Ali Abbas Zafar sparked rumours about her wedding when he tweeted that she opted out of a Hindi movie because of a "very special" reason and later, People magazine reported that she's engaged to the 25-year-old.
While the actress has subtly asked people to back off, photos and videos of the actress and her beau reveal that the actress is crazy about the Jealous singer.
The Baywatch star recently accompanied Jonas to Singapore, where he is performing, and videos showed the actress fan-girling over the pop singer. A few other videos have also been making the rounds which show Priyanka and Nick.
Although her personal life is grabbing all the attention, Priyanka has a lot going on at the work front. The 36-year-old's ABC show, Quantico season 3 ended and the actress took to Twitter to bid farewell to Alex Parrish.
Following Baywatch, Quantico and A Kid Like Jake, Priyanka will soon be seen in Isn't it Romantic. After which, she will be seen romancing Chris Pratt in Cowboy Ninja Viking.
