Last week, Xiaomi's subsidiary Poco registered a record-breaking Poco F1 sale, minting more than Rs 200 crore in less than five minutes on Flipkart. Now, the company is hosting the second round of the flash sale later today at 12:00 pm.

What's special about the Wednesday's sale is that Poco will be releasing the special Poco F1 Armoured Edition for the first time and it will be available both on Flipkart and Mi.com for Rs 29,999.

For those unaware, Armoured Edition comes with a back panel made of DuPont Kevlar. It is said to a super-tough, heat-resistant material and is widely used in the aviation industry, the military, and high-end cycling. Its textured surface gives POCO F1 a unique appearance and provides a comfortable grip.

Furthermore, it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is expandable up to 256GB more via microSD card.

I have been using the Poco F1 Armoured Edition for more than two weeks and I have to say, it is a really powerful phone. It is also faster in terms of operation be it app loading, launching the camera app, playing graphics-intensive games, the Poco F1 aces it all with no sign of lag-ness. Initially, I had doubts over the camera's capabilities, but upon regular use, it kind of grew on me. Poco F1 camera is really great for its asking price.

Except for the Kevlar cover on the back, rest of the specifications of Poco F1 Armoured Edition is same as the other generic models.

For those unaware, Poco F1 standard variants come in three configurations—6GB RAM+64GB storage, 6GB RAM+128GB storage, and 8GB RAM+256GB— for Rs 20,999, Rs 23,999, and Rs 28,999, respectively. They will be available in Polycarbonate backs in Graphite Black, Steel Blue, and Rosso Red. And the Armoured Edition, which comes in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, costs Rs 29,999.

The new Pocophone F1 flaunts a sturdy polycarbonate shell on the back with a dual camera and a fingerprint sensor below it. On the front, it flaunts a 6.18-inch full HD+ display with iPhone X-like notch on the top housing an advanced 20MP camera with IR sensor for face unlock capability.
