Justin Bieber has left his fans confused about the real reason behind the latest social media updates that featured close-up shots of his face.

The 23-year-old What Do You Mean singer shared a series of photos with his 87 million Instagram followers highlighting his eyes, giving them an insight of his personal life. The images were taken in a car and shows he has conjunctivitis.

The first snap features his face and it is accompanied with the words: "My left eye has conjunctivitis". It garnered over 2.5 million likes. Since many of his fans were confused about the infected eye, he posted a close up shot of the eyes to make things clearer.

Many of his admirers gave the Baby singer several advices in the comment section. The fan messages ranged from, "Seek medical assistance... and get well soon" "Take the proper care of u plz" to "At least you can see spiritually that's all that matters".

But still many of his followers were confused whether he has conjunctivitis on his right eye or the left one. "Honey its your r i g h t eye," wrote a social media user monikered as swankypants. "Right eye not left," asked another netizen.

So, the Sorry singer added another photo to his Instagram stories highlighting his left eye to make things a bit more clearer. He captioned it, "This eye has conjunctivitis." The photo garnered over 1.2 million likes and over 28,000 comments.

Shortly, the former boyfriend of Selena Gomez shared two more snaps on the photo-sharing platform. While one of the black and white image is accompanied with the words: "You can see it better here", another photo is captioned: "Conjunctivitis."

Although many of his admirers sympathised with him, a few of the social media users took the opportunity to make fun of the situation. "I'm actually laughing so hard," stated an Instagram user and another one wrote, "I just looked up conjunctivitis. I am scared for life."
