The trailer of Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh's "Gopala Gopala" has turned out to be a huge hit on social media sites. It has also replaced the trailer of Ajith-starrer "Yennai Arindhaal" as the top trending video on YouTube.

"Gopala Gopala" trailer, which was released during the film's audio launch on Sunday, has fetched more than 5 lakh views on YouTube. On the other hand, "Yennai Arindhaal" trailer, which was launched on the eve of New Year, has received over 29 lakh hits on the video sharing site.

Until the release of "Gopala Gopala" trailer, "Yennai Arindhaal" trailer topped the list of popular videos on YouTube India. But now, the Pawan-Venky starrer has taken the top spot in the list.

There are huge expectations from both Telugu and Tamil films as they have big stars in lead roles. In "Gopala Gopala," Pawan Kalyan will be seen in the role of lord Krishna and Venkatesh will be appearing as a shop owner. The film, which is a remake of Bollywood satirical drama "Oh My God," is directed by Kishore Pardasani. Its first look poster, trailer and the songs have created huge buzz around the project.

The Pawan-Venky starrer is likely to be released as a Sankranti treat for the fans. The film is expected to be censored on Wednesday and the release date will officially be informed after the censor formalities are completed. According to the latest reports, "Gopala Gopala" is likely to release on 10 January.

Suresh Babu Daggubati and Sharrath Marar are jointly producing the film, while the music is composed by Anup Rubens.

"Gopala Gopala" was expected to clash with "Yennai Arindhaal and its Telugu dubbed version "Yentha Vaadu Gaanie" at the box office as the Ajith starrer was initially slated to hit the screens during the Pongal/Sankranti festival period.

However, the film's makers have pushed the release to 29 January as the post-production work is yet to be completed. The Telugu version of "Yennai Arindhaal" will also be releasing on 29 January as a double treat for Ajith fans.

Directed by Gautham Menon, "Yennai Arindhaal" is an action thriller with Ajith appearing in the role of a police officer. Anushka and Trisha play the female leads, while Arun Vijay, Parvathy Nair and Vivek will be seen in pivotal roles. A.M. Ratnam has produced the project, while its music is composed by Harris Jayaraj.
