Shefali Jariwala's death has left the whole nation shook. The 'Kaanta Laga' actress, who was married to Parag Tyagi, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was just 42. While there has been no official confirmation on what caused the death, there have been rumours of her anti-ageing medication causing a massive drop in BP and eventually leading to a cardiac arrest.

Police reached the couple's residence and grilled the watchmen and their house help about what transpired the night before, leading to her death. Now, Shefali's friend, Pooja Ghai, has revealed that even her husband, Parag Tyagi, was questioned by the police. She added how someone who had just lost his wife didn't even get the time to grieve.

Parag questioned

"The good part is that there was no foul play. My only fear, the moment I saw Parag was... The guy was grieving, the guy naturally wanted to be left alone, and he was being cross-questioned by the police. Of course, they were doing their duty," she told Vickey Lalwani.

No foul play

Pooja added that she hoped Parag wouldn't get entangled in the police interrogation and that they would reach the conclusion of no foul play soon. She added that she didn't want to see the grieving man go through an unnecessary trial.

"But you've seen it in past cases, I don't want to name people... You've seen (next of kin) being grilled for months, and their life is over. They don't even have time to grieve, because they're constantly under the police's radar. The moment I saw Parag, my only hope was, 'I hope he gets out of this as soon as possible.' Fortunately, the report says there was no foul play, and he was released," she further said.

Shefali reportedly took medications and a vitamin IV drip a few hours before the heart attack. Parag and his friends rushed her to the hospital, but she was declared brought in dead.
