Superstar Rajinikanth who was recently discharged from hospital has made a breaking statement on Twitter that he won't be taking the political plunge citing health reasons.

Rajinikanth posted a tweet saying he doesn't want to make the people who believe in him feel like a scapegoat, however, his recent health conditions have come as a warning.

Rajinikanth had stated in the statement that he will continue to serve the people of Tamil Nadu without entering politics. He was expected to make a big announcement about the party on December 31 and the party would be launched on January 1.

Rajinikanth's health crisis 

Rajinikanth was recently admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad when he was shooting for his upcoming film Annatthe helmed by Siva. Post his hospital discharge the doctors advised the 70-year-old actor to take complete bed rest for a week and not to indulge in any form of physical activity.

In the statement issued by the actor, he had stated that "My hospitalization was like a warning from God. My campaign will impact health amid the pandemic. I thank office bearers for working with me."

He had further shared that he doesn't want to start something and let it go halfway through and that his health doesn't permit him to enter politics at this juncture and hence says he wants to refrain from starting the party.

On the professional front, Rajini's  Annaatthe has been stalled as four crew members tested positive for the virus and the shooting had been suspended. The film also stars Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles and is bankrolled by Kalanathi Maran's Sun Pictures
