Anushka Sharma, who is making efforts to collect relief fund for earthquake victims in Nepal, has thanked her fans for their generous donations. 

Soon after hearing the news about the disaster on 25 April, Anushka had offered her prayers to the victims of the earthquake. "Absolutely devastating to hear about the earthquake . The visuals are terrifying . Pray to God to take care of everyone," she tweeted. 

Later Anushka joined hands with NGO Care India, which is working with its team Care Nepal to provide medicine, shelter and rehabilitation to the earthquake-affected people. It is also providing survival kits, which include basic amenities such as tarpaulin, mats, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary napkins, disinfectants and blankets.

The actress has gotten an overwhelming response from her fans. She has been successful in raising ₹4.48 lakhs. On 1 May, an elated Anushka thanked all her fans for their support.
