Neena Gupta has revived her career, and how! From OTTs, films to TV shows; the veteran actress is everywhere. Recently seen in Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', Neena stole the show. The film might not have worked wonders at the box office but Neena Gupta has cemented herself in the industry in her second innings.
Reflecting on the journey
Now, in a recent interview, Neena Gupta has reflected back on her journey. The 'Badhaai Ho' actress has expressed disappointment over why success didn't come to her early. Neena said that she didn't get her due back then but is happy with the kind of roles coming her way now. "I keep thinking—what did I do wrong that I got my due so late? I see that, mostly, it has been my fault. But now there's no point thinking about the past. I have to move on," she said.

"At my age, I can't have everything anymore, nor can I play younger roles. Whatever is coming my way now is quite nice. I try not to think too much about why I didn't get these opportunities when I was younger—when I could have done so much more," she added.

Better looks
Gupta further said that back then she looked better than most of the heroines of today and even acted better. But then chose to not dwell on the past. "I often think that compared to many heroines today, I could have done a better job and even looked better. These thoughts do come, but what is the point?" she told Humans of Bombay.
The 'Metro In Dino' actress went on to add that she didn't understand back then that one needed a godfather or a godmother to thrive in the industry. She also said that she remained oblivious to the rules of the games of the industry, which she has learned over the years.
