Actress Mrunal Thakur is reportedly set to appear in the special song of mega power star Ram Charan's Peddi after popular actress Rashmika Mandanna rejected the offer citing personal reasons.
Ram Charan's Peddi is one of highly-awaited Telugu movies of 2026 and the makers have reportedly planned to have a special song for the movie. They are looking for a popular actress for the same. It is reported that they approached Rashmika Mandanna to perform the song, but she opted out of it. The reason she quoted was that she is nearing her wedding day.
It is known that reports are doing rounds about Rashmika Mandanna dating her co-star Vijay Devarakonda quite for sometime now. The latest buzz is that the actress and actor are gearing up to tie the knot on Feburary 24. Hence, the actress will not be able to perform the special song of Peddi, as she will be busy with her wedding celebrations.
After she rejected the offer, the makers of Peddi are now look out for another popular face for the song. The growing popularity of Mrunal Thakur has made her a best choice for the song and the producers have reportedly approached the actress, who is said to have shown interest in the offer.
Peddi is going to be a sports action drama, which is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The movie features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu in the leads. AR Rahman is composing music for the film, which is set to release globally on March 27, 2026
