It's no secret that the public simply cannot get enough of the Duchess of Sussex. From news about Meghan Markle's alleged pregnancy to her ogling over her latest outfit, she seems to have caught the public's fascination with every move she makes, everywhere she goes.

In a latest update about the former actress, Markle reportedly shares a close bond with none other than, father-in-law, Prince Charles. After a huge controversy that grabbed headlines just before big fat royal wedding, involving Meghan's biological father, Thomas Markle, it was Prince Charles that walked his daughter-in-law down the aisle.

An insider revealed to Vanity Fair that Prince Charles shares a "lovely relationship with the duchess. Commenting on the whole Thomas-Meghan issue, the source went on to say, "Charles has been very supportive of Meghan and everything she is going through with her own father. He's got a real soft spot for her and thinks she's the best thing to have happened to harry."

The source who is said to be an unnamed family member added, "The wedding was a real turning point. Charles showed so much love towards Harry and Meghan, and I think Harry will be eternally grateful to his papa for stepping in and giving Meghan's hand in marriage. The bond between them is very close."

Harry and Meghan also spent close to a week with the Prince of Wales at the Castle of Mey, the coastal Scottish estate that has been a regular spot for the royal family holiday, ever since the Queen acquired it in 1952. Buzz is that Charles might be considering tapping Harry as an overseer for the castle's operations in the future.

"I think Prince Charles would probably be delighted if his younger son were to take an interest in Mey," said Charles's biographer Sally Bedell Smith told Vanity Fair. "What I don't know is when Charles would want, if indeed he does, to hand the supervisory reins to Harry. My guess would be when Charles becomes king and his official duties as monarch multiply."

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex has been under intense scrutiny as to whether she is pregnant or not. Recently spotted in a dress with ruffles across the midsection sparked this speculation as the Twitterati took this debate online.
