Wonder Woman is all set to fly into cinemas come June. The cast has been holding special premieres across the globe prior to the release. The Warner Bros/DC was supposed to fly down to London for a special screening. However, the London premiere has been called off.

The studio has confirmed the film's premiere, scheduled for May 31, has been cancelled following the terror attack at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester that left 22 dead, Variety reported.

The studio announced the news in a statement: "Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent tragedy in the UK. In light of the current situation, we will not be proceeding with our plans for the 'Wonder Woman' premiere and junket activities in London."

The screening was supposed to see Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright and director Patty Jenkins walking down the red carpet.

The team's decision to cancel the premiere came a day after British Prime Minister Theresa May raised the terrorism threat level from severe to critical.

The terror attacks have left a number of celebrities in shock. The most affected is Grande, who called off her remaining tour after the Manchester attacks.

While the Wonder Woman London premiere is cancelled, the film's LA premiere will be held as per schedule.

Wonder Woman will see Gadot as Diana, princess of the Amazons, who was trained to be a warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana leaves home to stop a threat to the world after she meets an American pilot who crashes on their shores. Fighting alongside a man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers...and her true destiny.

Directed by Jenkins, Wonder Woman will be released on June 2, 2017. Gadot will reprise her role in Justice League releasing in November.
